Regular Season Round 15: Istanbul - Vardar 59-64

Very predictable result when twenty third ranked North MacedonianVardar (6-2) defeated 47th ranked Turkish Istanbul (3-5) 64-59 on Sunday. Vardar trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 34-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Vardar forced 24 Istanbul turnovers and outrebounded them 46-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Sinisa Trpcevic who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Vojdan Cadinovski chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Vardar players scored in double figures. Vardar's coach used entire bench in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Efe Bekar who recorded 24 points and 9 rebounds and Burc Gencer added 14 points and 6 steals respectively. Despite that victory Vardar went down to 48th position due to points difference, which they share with BC Nokia and Fryshuset. Loser Istanbul dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Cluj Napoca and Rabotnicki.
